CANDLE BOXES AND SCENTED CANDLE PACKAGING
LESER manufactures candle boxes and packaging for scented candles, from a single candle in a tin to a gift set holding 4 scented candles in jars. 3 standard formats are available immediately, in black and in white, everything beyond that is made to your dimensions. On request your boxes carry your logo, as hot foil stamping in gold, silver, black or the colour of your choice.
WHEN IS A CUSTOM CANDLE BOX WORTH IT?
A box made to measure becomes worthwhile as soon as your candle does not fit any standard format, which happens often with candles. LESER then produces the box to suit your product. You give us the diameter and the height of your candle, we develop the format to match and produce the run. This applies to the scented candle in a jar as well as to pillar candles, to tall jars with a lid and to sets in an arrangement of your own.
If you wish, you will of course receive a sample beforehand. That way you can see how your candle sits in the box before production starts.
For a quotation we need from you: the dimensions of your candle, the quantity you want, whether an insert is needed and any particular wishes regarding colour and finishing. Still unsure on a point? Then we will very gladly go through it with you.
WHICH CANDLE BOXES DO WE HAVE IN STOCK?
These 3 formats are in stock with us and can be ordered without special production. All dimensions are internal dimensions. The cardboard boxes and the gift boxes are made of 1 mm solid board. The magnetic boxes, at 2 mm, are considerably sturdier again and additionally covered with high-quality kraft paper. All 3 formats are available in black and in white.

Which box fits which candle?
These 2 criteria decide which box fits which candle: the diameter and the height of your candle. Allow around 5 to 10 mm of clearance all round so the candle sits securely and can be lifted out again. This overview shows the common candle formats and what fits each one.

CANDLE PACKAGING: WHAT MATTERS?
With candle packaging, 3 things matter: the fit, the sturdiness and the appearance. A candle is round and heavy for its size, so it needs a box that holds it and carries the weight. And because candles are mostly given as gifts, the packaging is the first thing someone holds.
In store, the candle often sits on the shelf together with its box. That makes the packaging your brand surface as well. These 5 points make the difference in practice:
- Accuracy before size: a box that is too large lets the candle move and feels cheap when opened. A snug fit protects better and looks more valuable.
- Support inside: glass and tin are heavy and round. An insert holds the candle in place, especially in a set with several candles.
- A sturdy lid: candles are often given away and handled repeatedly. A magnetic closure or a lidded box copes with that, a glued folding carton much less so.
- Finishing decides the first impression: with a candle, the packaging is what is visible on the shelf. A stamped logo carries your brand before anyone even smells the candle.
- Think about shipping: presentation packaging protects the product, not the transport route. For that we have dedicated shipping cartons.
HOW DOES YOUR LOGO GET ONTO THE BOX?
All 3 standard formats can be finished with hot foil stamping, in gold, silver, black or almost any colour you wish. On the cardboard boxes the stamping is possible outside and inside, on the magnetic boxes outside. Multicoloured stamping is possible at extra cost.
The standard formats ship within 2 to 3 working days without print, and in around 8 working days with print. For made-to-measure formats we give you the date with the quotation.
WHAT OUR FORMATS ARE USED FOR
A single candle for retail sale. The cardboard box measuring 90 x 90 x 70 mm takes a candle in a tin. With a stamped logo on the lid, your brand occupies the surface that is visible on the shelf.
A gift set for Christmas and Mother's Day. The magnetic box measuring 230 x 230 x 110 mm holds 4 scented candles in jars arranged in a square. The magnetic closure opens in a single movement, with no tape and no tearing. On request we produce the insert that holds each candle in place.
Tealights as an extra or a corporate gift. The gift box measuring 180 x 180 x 65 mm holds up to 16 tealights. Useful for sets, for adding to larger orders and wherever many small gestures are needed.
Everything else made to measure. The scented candle in a jar, tall jars with a lid, pillar candles and sets in an arrangement of your own are produced to suit your product.

PACKING CANDLES, IN BRIEF
When packing candles, 2 things count: the fit and the protection of the surface. A candle that moves inside its box picks up scratches and pressure marks, and with a scented candle in a jar the weight comes on top. For presentation, a well-fitting box is enough, with an insert if you wish. For posting, it additionally belongs in an outer carton.
