JEWELLERY PACKAGING FOR EARRINGS
Earrings are among the smallest pieces of jewellery and often the most personal. That makes what they are presented in all the more important. Good earring packaging holds the pair securely in place, shows it at its best and turns the very act of opening into a small experience.
Here you will find our jewellery packaging for earrings: boxes and cases in various shapes, colours and materials, each with a matching insert. All models are available on request with your logo, from as few as 10 pieces.

What really matters in earring packaging
At first glance, an earring box looks simple. In practice, however, it has a lot to do, because earrings are small, often delicate and always come in pairs.
Three things decide whether the packaging does its job:
1. A secure fit: Both earrings sit securely and straight side by side, even when the box travels in a handbag or a shipping carton.
2. The right size: A box that is too large makes a delicate pair look lost, one that is too small presses on clasps and stones.
3. The first impression: On opening, the eye falls straight on the jewellery. Lid, insert and colour work together to achieve this.
When all of this comes together, even a simple pair of stud earrings looks like a special gift.
The right insert for every type of earring
Not every earring can be presented in the same way. That is why the insert is the heart of all earring packaging:
• Stud earrings: Slits in the insert hold the studs firmly and upright. The pair stands neatly side by side and does not slip.
• Hoop earrings: They need space and an insert that follows their round shape instead of bending it.
• Drop earrings and earrings with pendants: Here, an insert with a hanging bar lets the jewellery fall freely and show its full length.
• Ear cuffs and small sets: Several pieces need a clear layout so that each item has its own fixed place.
Do you have a piece of jewellery that does not fit any standard insert? Then we make the insert to fit your design precisely. This only requires a one-off tool, which is reused for every further order.
Cardboard, plastic or premium?
The material determines how your packaging feels, how long it lasts and what it is intended for.
Cardboard boxes are the most versatile choice. They can be made in almost any colour, are easy to print and emboss, and are ideal as gift packaging for customers to take home. On request, we produce them from FSC®-certified cardboard (FSC® C144083). More information at www.fsc.org.
Plastic cases with a hinged lid are sturdy and impact-resistant. They protect valuable jewellery particularly well, and many customers continue to use them for storage after purchase.
High-quality jewellery cases with velvety or textured surfaces suit fine gold and diamond jewellery, where the packaging should noticeably underline the value of what is inside.
Earring sets: packaging for more than one piece of jewellery
Earrings are often sold together with necklaces or pendants, especially as a gift. For these cases, combination packaging that holds several pieces of jewellery in one box is the right choice. The insert is divided so that each piece has its own fixed place and the set is recognisable at a glance as belonging together.
This also has a practical advantage: a set packed together encourages customers to buy more than a single pair. For jewellers and jewellery brands, set packaging is therefore a simple lever for increasing the value of each sale.
From the shop counter to the customer's home
Where you sell your jewellery influences which packaging suits it best.
In a jeweller's shop, presentation is everything. The box is opened in front of the customer, often right at the counter. Here, clean shapes, high-quality surfaces and a neatly presented insert have the strongest effect.
In an online shop, shipping comes into play. The earring packaging has to survive the journey in the parcel and still create the same wow moment when unpacked as in the shop. Sturdy construction and a firm fit of the insert are particularly important here.
At markets and trade fairs, you need packaging that can be filled quickly and stored in little space. Simple boxes with your logo are often the best choice here.
Your brand in your customer's hands
Earring packaging is small, but it is picked up at exactly the moment when your customer is most interested in your jewellery. You can use this moment for your brand.
At LESER, personalising your earring packaging is easy:
• With your logo from 10 pieces: using hot foil stamping in gold, silver or copper, or with logo printing. Foil stamping looks particularly elegant on small lids.
• With printing: motifs, patterns or a short message on the inside of the lid, visible at the very moment of opening.
• Fully customised: shape, colour, material and insert as you envisage them, made to measure for your collection.
You do not have a print-ready logo file yet? Simply send us what you have. Our packaging design team will make you a proposal, and you approve the result before production.
